Whether exploring a current path, curious about new frontiers or just seeking an adventure, MTNA grants can help you get there! You can also apply for special funding to celebrate MTNA’s 150th Anniversary. The deadline for the most popular grants (by number of applications) is coming up soon on May 1, 2025, 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Here are a few sample ideas to jump start the planning for your creative journey:
- For teachers interested in professional development—apply for a Teacher Enrichment Grant and take a Suzuki training course or learn a new genre with a specialist.
- For teachers and affiliates who want to connect more deeply with their community—plan a community-based event and apply for a Community Engagement Grant.
- For affiliates who want to enhance local or state programming—apply for an Affiliate Grant and invite a leading pedagogue to speak to your members.
- For collegiate chapters who want to expand professional development events and/or community engagement activities—apply for a Collegiate Enrichment Grant.
- For collegiate members interested in attending the national conference or Collegiate Chapters Symposium next year—apply for the $100 Collegiate Travel Grant.
SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY for 2025–2026
Celebrate MTNA’s 150th Anniversary with a special Affiliate Grant offered just for this occasion! These grants are intended to support MTNA’s 150th Anniversary celebration with events at the local or state level. Check the MTNA Foundation Fund website for more information and application. Deadline is May 1, 2025, 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
The table downloadable below outlines five popular MTNA grants and includes information about eligibility, amounts, deadlines, sample projects, application information and evaluation criteria. Grants for active members and affiliates are typically due in early May. Two of these grants, Collegiate Enrichment Grant and Collegiate Travel Grant, are focused on the needs of collegiate members and Collegiate Chapters; deadlines are typically in early November. Not included is the MTNA Program Development Grant, which is more narrowly focused on “seed funding” for organizations preparing to apply for larger grants offered by other funders.
